Photon Imager - Tunnel
The tunnel is an optional module that makes it possible to increase the volume inside the Photon Imager without any impact on the light tightness of the system.
This module is an outgrowth of the Photon Imager that replaces the door, and can easily be installed and removed in 15 minutes.
Applications
The tunnel was developed by Biospace Lab for users of the Photon Imager who need to increase the volume inside their system. Such a need may be related to different reasons:- Larger volume needed for the imaging of medium sized animals. The tunnel may be necessary for the imaging of small monkeys, rabbits, cats, etc.
- Accessories to be inserted in the Photon Imager. For example, to insert an animal holder that is compatible with CT or with MRI. This way the animal position is not changed between the different acquisitions and the images are easier to coregister.
Specifications
The tunnel has the following dimensions:- Width and Height: 27 cm x 40 cm
- Length: the module is available in 3 configurations with different lengths: 10, 30 or 50 cm
Acquisitions made with the tunnel module are saved in standard files (bvr, cri, trp), and analyzed with the analysis software M3 Vision as any other acquisition. The fusion of the signal image and the photographic image is automatic with M3 Vision.
Furthermore, M3 Vision includes the possibility to match images acquired with the Photon Imager with any other image with a known format (jpeg, bmp, tif, etc.) obtained with complementary equipment.
Photon Imager - Optional modules
Molecular Imaging, especially for optical modalities, is a fast evolving field. The philosophy of the Photon Imager is to help you keep on track with
the latest advances, by developping add-on modules to the system. You are shown here some of the recently developped or soon to be add-on modules for the Photon Imager.
