Photon Imager Applications |
The Photon Imager has a wide range of applications in Life Sciences. Many research fields can take advantage
of the advantages of a non invasive, real-time imaging technique which gives access to dynamic phenomena with a great sensitivity.
Cancer Research
Optical imaging in cancer research requires sensitivity, to quantify precisely tumor metabolism and follow tumor growth, but
also to detect the metastases at an early stage. Browse the Cancer Research page to know more
about the Photon Imager for tumor imaging.
Stem Cells
Imaging stem cells requires techniques with a good sensitivity, to track the migrating cells, and a high resolution,
to observe the fate of cells after implantation. See how the Photon Imager answers such requirements with the
Stem Cell imaging page
Central Nervous System
The central nervous system is challenging to image. Imaging the brain, for example, requires to detect signals through the skull of the animal when
craniotomy is not an option. Bioluminescence may also differ due to the brain blood barrier, which can slow down the distribution of luciferin in tissue.
You will find several examples of such acquisitions performed with the Photon Imager on the Central Nervous System page.
Use of this product to practice in vivo imaging in animals
(the dection of light emitted from within animals) does not imply or convey
a license to practice in vivo imaging in animals, as covered by patents controlled by other corporations.
